Who is Great Lakes Native Plants?

Great Lakes Native Plants is a grower and distributor of native plants located in Litchfield, Michigan. Native plants are hard to find for some consumers and we want to make it easier for everyone to incorporate native plants in their landscapes. Therefore, we strive to grow and distribute the highest quality source-identified native plant material available to government and commercial customers in the Great Lakes region.

Great Lakes Native Plants offers three Garden Kits for 2010:

• Rain Gardens for sunny areas

• Rain Gardens for shady areas

• Butterfly / Hummingbird Gardens for sunny areas

All native plants are grown with regionally adapted seed.

About Our Kits

• Kits make it easy for people to make a positive difference without needing extensive knowledge of native ecosystems

• All of our kits are packaged in 38 plug flats (5" deep x 2" wide tapered cell)

• Each kit contains 10-12 native species selected to perform well for its specific application

• Selection of specific species will be determined at time of shipment, based on availability, from the lists on each of the pages describing the kits.

• Kits are designed to cover approximately 75-100 square feet

• Kits are shipped early in the week to minimize the chance of spending the weekend in a hot truck or warehouse

• Kits are available May through October

• All Garden Kits are 100% guaranteed and “ready‐to‐plant.”
